History

Captain’s Fine Foods was started by the owners of Trans-Global Products when they saw opportunity in domestic seafood processing. Already firmly entrenched in the seafood industry with a seafood trading business, a U.S. tuna vessel fleet, and foreign seafood processing plants, Captain’s Fine Foods was a natural extension of their seafood businesses.

With over fifty years of combined experience in seafood processing, distributing, and exporting, our management team has the knowledge and know-how to fill your orders with expertise.

Our Facility

Conveniently located minutes from I-275 in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, our 60,000 sq. ft. facility is United States Department of Commerce (USDC) inspected and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) compliant. Third party inspections are conducted annually to verify and certify the plant’s continuing HACCP compliance. Captain’s Fine Foods is also on the European Union Export List and is authorized to ship to the EU.

Our facility has freezer and cooler capacity and ice machines.

Captain’s Fine Foods processes raw seafood items, such as peeling and grading shrimp and filleting fish. Our facility has full breading and par-frying capabilities and produces value-added seafood items, such as breaded seafood, stuffed seafood, and microwave-ready frozen seafood meals.

We are happy to set up trucking and delivery of orders to accommodate your schedule. For those who prefer to arrange their own trucking, our facility has three loading bays and is easily accessible off Interstate 275 (I-275).
